Membership Benefits
Being a member in the Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce improves your engagement in our community and provides you with the following benefits:
The Chamber serves as your advocate at local, regional and state agencies on emerging critical issues that pertain to your business, organization or industry.
The Chamber’s early morning breakfast series keeps our membership aware of the changing dynamics in our community. Feature speakers will include elected officials, local appointed positions, and others that would be of interest to our membership.
Members have an opportunity to showcase their business and products by hosting and sponsoring a social mixer with food, fellowship, and fun. These can be scheduled for morning or evening hours and can be only scheduled by members of the Chamber.
The Chamber will arrange for city or county officials, Chamber Ambassadors, Board Members and community representatives to attend ribbon cuttings that promote a new business opening or expansion, new branch location or new management or ownership. This is a great way to get your business going in our community!
The Good Stuff, the Chamber’s weekly newsletter published in house, will keep you up-to-date with information and developments relevant to the business community.
You receive two free listings and may also purchase specialty advertising in the Chamber’s membership directory. This comprehensive listing of Chamber members is listed categorically and alphabetically and is distributed to local residents and businesses annually.
All members are also listed free of cost on the Chamber’s Internet Business Directory for 24/7 access to your services. This online membership directory will provide a link to your company’s website along with contact information. Members may choose up to three different categories for their listing allowing visitors to search via category, keyword or alphabetically. Promotional upgrades for your business or organization’s listing are available for an additional fee.
This information includes demographics, fact pamphlets, maps, calendar of events, visitor information, business information, etc. and is sent to anyone considering moving to anywhere in Lenoir County. Also included is the Membership Directory, providing information about your business or organization to others. The Chamber also offers Red Carpet services to potential new residents of Kinston.
A list of the mailing addresses of Chamber members may be purchased by members only for a reasonable rate. This service allows you to market your business throughout Lenoir County. Call the Chamber for details and pricing.
It is The Chamber’s policy to refer only Chamber members to the hundreds of telephone, email and written requests by businesses and individuals. With the Chamber’ website, your business is set up for instant 24/7 referrals. The Chamber works to deliver potential customers and clients to your door, email box or website!
Becoming a Chamber member also offers a multitude of networking opportunities. The Business Expo and Annual Awards Presentation are two major events that offer the chance to mingle with fellow business associates and community members. Each of these events and programs give members the chance to meet outside of regular Chamber meetings and get to know the other members.
The Chamber is a volunteer driven organization and members are always welcomed and encouraged to get involved in any of the vast array of Chamber committees. These various committees work on projects and programs that benefit your Chamber membership. Volunteering for a committee that interests you provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside community leaders and prospective new clients. There are several to choose from, so there’s sure to be one you’ll love. Click here to learn more about the committees and help shape the future of Kinston and Lenoir County.
All members receive a decal to display in their establishment to let visitors know you are dedicated to representing Lenoir County as a great place to live, work, and visit. This decal demonstrates your commitment to the community by becoming a part of the vision and strategies to keep Lenoir County great.
Post job openings with your business or organization on the Chamber’s website and maintain those postings using your member login. You can also post coupons and deals for your business in the Hot Deals section. Postings run on a weekly basis.
